Liverpool-based theatre company PurpleDoor presents a radical reimagining of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, exploring the play as a tragedy of radicalisation and violence rather than romance. Following research and development at HOME Manchester, this production draws on fifteen years of the company's experience creating accessible Shakespeare with regional voices for working-class audiences.
